Discover the H. Upmann Corona J

A Brief History of H. Upmann

If you’re on the lookout for a cigar that’s perfect for beginners or for a quick smoke, the H. Upmann Corona Junior Tubos might just be what you’re looking for. This cigar comes from the H. Upmann brand, which has been around since 1844. It was founded by a German banker named Herman Upmann, who moved to Havana, Cuba, and fell in love with cigars. He decided to start making his own cigars and even gave them as gifts to his banking clients. The brand quickly became popular, especially among customers from Europe.

What Makes the H. Upmann Corona Junior Tubos Special?

The H. Upmann Corona Junior Tubos is a type of cigar called a Très Petit Corona. It has a ring gauge of 36 and is 115 mm (4.53 inches) long. Each cigar comes in a wooden box with 25 cigars, and each cigar is individually wrapped in an aluminum tube. This tube helps keep the cigar fresh and flavorful, and it also makes it easy to carry and store.

The Look and Aroma

This cigar has a beautiful wrapper made from the finest Cuban tobacco leaves, grown in the Vuelta Abajo region. The wrapper has a light brown color and feels smooth to the touch. The band on the cigar is simple and elegant, with the H. Upmann logo and name in gold letters on a red background.

Before you light up the cigar, you’ll notice a pleasant smell of hay, wood, and nuts. When you take a cold draw, you’ll taste hints of cedar, leather, and spice.

The Smoking Experience

Lighting up the H. Upmann Corona Junior Tubos is a breeze, and it burns evenly, producing a good amount of smoke. The ash is firm and light gray, and it holds on well.

As you smoke the cigar, you’ll notice a smooth and subtle flavor profile. In the first third, you’ll taste mild and creamy notes of cedar, nuts, toast, and honey. In the second third, the flavors become slightly more complex and spicy, with hints of pepper, leather, coffee, and earth. The final third is medium-bodied and balanced, with a mix of wood, nuts, cocoa, and caramel.

The draw of the cigar is consistently smooth throughout, and you won’t encounter any issues. The cigar will last you around 30 to 40 minutes, making it perfect for a quick break or as an appetizer before a meal. After you finish smoking, you’ll be left with a pleasant aftertaste of nuts and wood.
