Cuaba is a Cuban cigar brand that specializes in figurado-shaped cigars, which are tapered at both ends. Cuaba was introduced in 1996 in London as the first new Cuban cigar brand since 1968. The name Cuaba comes from the Taino Indian word for the bush that was used to light tobacco on the island. Cuaba cigars have a medium to full flavor and are made with tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region, the best area for growing Cuban tobacco.
