La Gloria Cubana Serie D No.5 is the eleventh Edición Regional for the La Gloria Cubana brand so far—

The La Gloria Cubana Serie D No.5 is relatively small when held in your hand,

covered in a medium reddish-brown wrapper with a small amount of noticeable tooth to it.

I can see almost no oil, and the cigar is exceptionally spongy when squeezed,

with enough give that I will not be surprised if it causes issues when smoking it.

The aroma from the wrapper is a combination of solid peanut shells, barnyard, hay, sweet vanilla, creamy cedar and earth.

At the same time, the cold draw brings flavours of distinct cinnamon, tart citrus, bitter dark chocolate, cedar and slight fruity sweetness.

Only 5000 of these smokes have been produced – so do not sleep on adding these to your cigar humidor.
